DATA PROTECTION POLICY
In order to reply to sponsorship requests, general enquiries and handle complaints etc., we have a contact form on our website. We do not store or collate any of the data that we are supplied with via this form. We simply receive an email with the necessary personal data (e.g. name and email address) to provide these services. All other additional personal data may be supplied voluntarily, but they enable us to improve the service which we provide to our users. Your personal data are processed exclusively for the purpose of managing our relations with you. Leivers never merges personal data with data from third parties.
No sensitive personal data are registered, either.
Leivers does not disclose your personal data to any third party without your express consent. However, as part of the Danish Crown group, we may pass your personal data on to companies in the Danish Crown group in so far as this is necessary for us to manage our relations with you. We do not transfer data outside of the EU.
A cookie is a small piece of data which can help to improve session management for visitors to a website. For example, a cookie can be used to remember pages which you have visited before. Leivers has chosen to remove cookies from their website, in order to be compliant with the GDPR changes that have taken place. Therefore, this data is not being collected or stored on or by our website, nor is it being shared with others. We apologise if this affects session management for website visitors.
The law requires Leivers to take reasonable steps to ensure data is kept accurate and up to date. The more important it is that the personal data is accurate, the greater the effort Leivers should put into ensuring its accuracy. It is the responsibility of all employees who work with data to take reasonable steps to ensure it is kept as accurate and up to date as possible.
SUBJECT ACCESS REQUESTS
All individuals who are the subject of personal data held by Leivers are entitled to ask what information the company holds about them and why, how to gain access to it, be informed how to keep it up to date and be informed how the company is meeting its data protection obligations.
If an individual contacts the company requesting this information, this is called a subject access request. Subject access requests from individuals should be made by email, addressed for the attention of the data controller. The data controller can supply a standard request form, although individuals do not have to use this.
Individuals will be charged £10 per subject access request. The data controller will aim to provide the relevant data within 15 working days. The data controller will always verify the identity of anyone making a subject access request before handing over any information.
DISCLOSING DATA FOR OTHER REASONS
In certain circumstances, the Data Protection Act allows personal data to be disclosed to law enforcement agencies without the consent of the data subject. Under these circumstances, Leivers will disclose requested data. However, the data controller will ensure the request is legitimate, seeking assistance from the board and from the company’s legal advisers where necessary.
